Day 10

Hi! My name is Nora and I’m going to create something. 

Last time that I worked on things, the state of this blog rather bugged me. Today was a day of blog cleaning. I’ve been making websites for years. I thought that I knew all that there was to making a website. It turns out that is rather not the case. All of these websites that I’ve ever made at work were internal websites. I never cared about user management, search engine optimization, or proving that I actually own the website. So while I started by cleaning up the navigation to remove all of the fake urls that came with this default template that I’m using, I ended the day with verifying ownership in the Google Search Console in order to get a little bit of Search engine optimization.

I’ve never done any of that before so it was a bit of learning experience for me. I’ve also been creating custom sites for the most part so I’m still struggling a bit when it comes to using a CMS. It just seems a bit wrong to me. Anyways I don’t have any cool progress pics to show today so I’ll apologize by paying the puppy tax. This is an old photo of my older doggo, Rocky. He’s a good boy.
